The Academy

The Sacred Temple of Knowledge

The Hakimian Academy is the scholarly and didactic dimension of the Hakimian Institute, where the spiritual truths of the Oneness of Being are enlivened and embodied through systematic teaching.

The Educational Vision

The Oneness of Being is both the ground and the consummate summit of the work. Where the life of man derives from the Absolute, from whence it flows, his purpose is to reunite with the Source is reunion. The Hakimian Academy is devoted to the systematic unfolding of this primoridal truth: uniting metaphysics with mysticism, awakening with integration, and contemplating the mysteries of creation.

Whereas the puropse of modern education is to turn people into cogs spinning in the technic megamachine of industrial society, we repristinate the ancient vision of education as a spiritual pathway of self-realisation and gnosis. Here, Spirit is the sacred centre of the Great Work; Mind is the palace and architecture; and Body is the temple of realisation.

Beginning upon the foundational principle of Oneness, we conceive a holistic education integrating all the spheres and dimensions of the soul: from the spiritual, intellectual, mental, and physical. This is the Great Work: and the end is nothing less than deep understanding, sacred realisation, and inward illumination.

Learning at the Academy

We currently host the following teaching at the academy:

  • Weekly Classes and Seminars: we host regular public lectures (both online and in-person) which we invite you to attend.

  • Courses & Curricula: we teach long-term courses working through the sacred curriculum of:

    • Language

      • English: including Mystical Biblical Interpretation

      • Arabic: including Mystical Qur’anic Interpretation

    • Mathematics

    • Philosophy

  • Educational Consultancy: for seekers who desire to proceed even deeper, we offer services in systematic consultancy to design a tailored syllabus, and work one-on-one to unlock the mysteries of knowledge and education.

 

All classes are taught personally by Faizaan Hakim. It should be noted that the Academy is not for casual seekers, but those devoted to the pursuit of Truth, who are called to the Great Work of realisation. 

The Curriculum

In time we shall offer a systematic curriculum which covers all the sciences and arts, established upon the sacred and transcendental principles of the Oneness of Being.

Initially, we offer teachings in the foundational sciences of:

​

  • Ontology and Metaphysics: the study of the system of the Oneness of Being.

  • Sciences of Spirit, Mind, Body, and Consciousness: integrating the sciences of phenomenology, noetics, linguistics, somatics, and more. This will be integral to the syllabus for the Ennead.

  • Language: conceived as the study of the Logos.

  • Mathematics: conceived as the study of logical and ontological formal structures; but also their ontological interpretations.

  • Philosophy: studies in Platonic thought; also the history of philosophy, including the foundations of Western and Eastern thought.

  • Theology: studies in the perennial philosophy, religion, esotericism, and mysticism.

We shall expand this in time into the natural sciences:

 

  • Physics

  • Alchemy

  • Astrology

  • Chemistry

  • Biology

  • Minerology

  • Botany

  • Zoology

  • Anthropology

  • Psychology

 

And then into the humanities:

  • History

  • Literature

  • Art

  • Architecture

  • Mythology

  • Law

  • Ethics

  • Aesthetics

 

These shall be taught not only as theoretical disciplines, but integrated into the world through practice, embodiment, and vocation.
